"This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they're a crowd of sorrows who violently sweep your house empty of it's furniture still treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight." - 'The Essential Rumi'
In the coming season we are looking back on the year that has passed and looking forward to the New Year to come. It is a time of reflection for ourselves, no matter what emotions pass through your door this year, great each one with open arms, they may not have been invited, but they have come and unless we take them in, give them an ear and nourish them, they will pass and the learning and inner awareness of growth will pass through with them unentertained.
It is in the entertaining of all these guests that we learn to be receptive, accepting and kind despite circumstances. May this coming season fill your soul with an eminating warmth that leaves all your guests welcome and entertained.
Namaste
