Tomorrow I get back to the Mat with all my Yogini friends after an extended period of rest and relaxation during the Summer months (which was 'much' needed) after a long period of being pushed both physically and emotionally to my limits during the 'Spring'...this period of rest helped me to relax, release and re-define what exactly it is I am looking to 'achieve' in the moment...when your practice becomes your 'work' it is sometimes hard to navigate between the lines of what works to help others achieve balance, while maintaining your own...last Spring taught me much about 'myself', my motivations and my ultimate goals as is the 'way' of Yoga, Dance or any other discipline that keeps you present and aware in the moment. With each new opportunity and each 'transition' I grow to learn and understand more and more how what we think we want, need or understand is always up to change at a 'moments' notice...and if we learn to grow to understand and accept this than the inevitable 'change' in the moment is that much easier to accept...leaving you truly open to an undefined acceptance of what it is you truly want but more importantly what you need. Once again I am brought back to two sayings that are very relevant to me in the moment: "I seek only to reveal my true self, which may or may not be the same tomorrow, if I should learn something new that changes me." and You can't always get what you want But if you try sometimes you might find You get what you need...So tomorrow I go back to the Mat with a 'new' perspective...no better nor worse than the previous one, just slightly changed...as have I...reminded once again of how Yoga and Dance have changed my 'existance'...Namaste Tomorrow I get back to the Mat with all my Yogini friends after an extended period of rest and relaxation during the Summer months (which was 'much' needed) after a long period of being pushed both physically and emotionally to my limits during the 'Spring'...this period of rest helped me to relax, release and re-define what exactly it is I am looking to 'achieve' in the moment...when your practice becomes your 'work' it is sometimes hard to navigate between the lines of what works to help others achieve balance, while maintaining your own...last Spring taught me much about 'myself', my motivations and my ultimate goals as is the 'way' of Yoga, Dance or any other discipline that keeps you present and aware in the moment.
